CHINATOWN
CHINESE GARDEN
Pier Street, Darling Harbour. The Chinese Garden of Friendship, a gift from Guangdong Province in 1988
to celebrate Sydney's Bi-Centenary. The largest garden of its type outside China, provides brooks, lily ponds,
weeping willows, Chinese temples and a traditional teahouse. Design follows principles of garden
design dating back to 5th Century. Admission: Adults $6, Children $3, Family $15.
DIXON STREET The centre of Chinatown, with a mixture of Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Korean and Japanese
restaurants and shops. Chinatown also includes nearby Sussex and Goulburn Streets.
Cnr Hay and Thomas Streets, Haymarket Located on southern edge of Darling Harbour. Over 1,000 stalls selling the
vast range of merchandise. Clothes, cosmetics, CDs, food. Open 9am-4.30pm, Open Thursday to Sunday.
